Three beaches being cleaned
FIM Capital Beach Buddies will be congregating in the west of the Island today as the volunteers head to Sunset City.
The weekly cleaning event is being held from 10:30am at the swimming pool end of Peel promenade, where there's lots of parking space.
Volunteers are being given a choice of which area to clean - the old swimming pool beach, the main beach or on Fenella beach by the castle.
It's thought access to the old swimming pool area is not suitable for those who are less steady on their feet.
As always, Beach Buddies provides all equipment, and will dispose of all materials collected afterwards, recycling where possible.
The session will be the last before the charity's '10k day' celebration at Niarbyl on Friday 19, where Manx Radio will be broadcasting live throughout the afternoon from 12-5.
