GMP chief constable remembers 'horrendous day'

 

Manx-educated PC Fiona Bone has been remembered by her police colleagues today, one year on from the gun and grenade attack which killed her and fellow officer Nicola Hughes in Greater Manchester.

 

This morning, a special service and minute’s silence was held at the memorial garden set up following the death of the two constables at the hands of Dale Cregan – who’s currently serving a whole-life sentence for murder.

 

Greater Manchester Police Chief Constable Sir Peter Fahy spoke to BBC Radio Manchester this morning.
