Claims more care home beds long overdue
The Chief Minister is welcoming plans for a replacement care home on the former Glenside site in Douglas.
A new planning application has been submitted by the Department of Health and Social Care, after a previous bid was rejected by officials last year.
The long-established home on Victoria Road originally closed in 2012.
Mr Quayle, who during his tenure as health minister launched proposals to redevelop it, hopes it will ease the burden on an ageing population.
