Police have confirmed a 58-year-old man has died following a quad bike collision earlier today.
It happened at around 12.40pm on the Foxdale Road near to the junction with the Archallagan Plantation.
The man, who was from the Glen Maye area, had been riding the quad from Stoney Mountain towards Douglas.
No other vehicles were involved.
Officers are asking anyone who saw the orange and black machine, from 12.30pm, to contact Peel Police Station – they'd also like to see any dash cam footage which picked it up.
The Foxdale Road will stay closed from the Garth Crossroads to Eairy Dam until 6pm this evening – motorists have been asked to find an alternative route.
