Hundreds expected to hit pavement for charity
A memorable festive fixture is taking place today in Douglas.
The annual Isle of Man Bank Santa Dash gets underway at 12.30pm outside the company's headquarters on Prospect Hill.
Hundreds of dressed-up wannabe St. Nicks are expected to line the course, which takes in Victoria Street, Loch Promenade and Finch Road.
The Department of Infrastructure has also advised motorists that short term road closures will be in place between noon and 1pm.
Most competitors are running the mile for their chosen charities - £3,000 in prize money is being offered to the winners.
