Follows calls from former Shell employee for government action
The Manx Geological Society says claims that geothermal energy could be introduced on the Isle of Man are not realistic.
It’s responded to the views of a former Shell employee who has called on government to consider the alternative source.
Fred Gray - who has a background is mechanical engineering specialised in thermodynamics – wants to explore circulating water by drilling into 'red-hot granites'.
However Dr David Quirk from the society doesn’t believe it’s that straight forward:
