Escapee animal recaptured... at the brewery
A yellow mongoose that escaped from Curraghs Wildlife Park has been recaptured and returned to the park.
The animal, nicknamed Gef, disappeared from the sanctuary in Ballaugh last week.
He was captured this afternoon (17 June) in the grounds of the brewery.
Officials from the park say he's safe and well.
They also confirmed he will now spend some time in quarantine as a precaution 'having been in possible contact with other wildlife'.
In the long term, the team will be looking to re-home him elsewhere to enter a breeding programme.
