Man still in hospital after weekend attack
A man charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm over the weekend has appeared before the deputy high bailiff.
Thirty-two-year-old Arkadiusz Rybczynski, of St Catherine's Close, Douglas, is accused of attacking Peter Eric Hammond on Saturday.
The prosecution told the court CCTV showed Mr Rybczynski punching and kneeing Mr Hammond, who fell to the ground, whereupon Mr Rybczynski began kicking him, including kicks to the head.
Mr Hammond is still in hospital.
His alleged attacker has been remanded in custody, after a bail application was rejected, until 17 January.
