The cabinet office says a £58 rebate for gas customers, in the New Year, will be welcomed despite soaring overall costs.
It follows an agreement between Manx Gas and Manx Utilities which will see the energy company pay £700,000 less each year for infrastructure payments.

Gas prices rose by 27.5 per cent in October with the increase affecting this month's bills.
