Binding contract now signed between Manx Gas and MUA
Government says 'thousands' of gas customers will receive a £58 rebate on their bills 'within the coming weeks'.
The move was announced last year following a decision to reduce the amount Manx Gas pays Manx Utilities each year in relation to infrastructure payments.
A binding contract has now been signed between the two authorities requiring £1.4m in savings to be passed on to customers in full.
The rebates will go to all domestic and business customers which have used more than zero units in the preceding 12 months.
Manx Utilities Chair, Rob Callister, says he hopes this will 'provide an element of comfort for those in difficulties'.
