Marinda Fargher says the organisation helps support 'vulnerable' people in the parish
A Garff Commissioner says it would be a 'shame' if the mobile library branch of the Family Library isn't continued.
Marinda Fargher confirmed the local authority makes a financial contribution to the organisation as part of its budget, and believes it helps support 'vulnerable' residents.
It has been recently announced that the library will continue to operate subject to funding from a new company and charity when the current arrangement finishes at the end of the month.
Mrs Fargher says the local authority will carry on supporting the library with its financial contribution because it's an invaluable service for rural areas.
She added that it visits the sheltered housing complex in the parish and takes books directly to people's homes.
