The gap between minimum wage on the Isle of Man and in the UK is set to increase.
UK Chancellor Rishi Sunak today announced he'd be instigating a rise to £9.50 - ours stands at £8.25.
In July Tynwald approved 15 recommendations by the Select Committee on Poverty - one of which was to align the minimum wage with the living wage, of £10.87, within the next five years.

The Department for Enterprise says it has a joint obligation with the Treasury to consult with the Minimum Wage Committee to put forward recommendations regarding the wage.
It says the committee will take into consideration minimum wage rates in neighbouring jurisdictions and it expects to receive a report from it in the coming weeks.
