Chairman says IOMPO is 'David battling Goliath' when it comes to disputes with Royal Mail
The future of the Isle of Man Post Office is dependent on parcel revenues, for which the company does not have a monopoly.
That's from Chairman MHK Stu Peters, who presented the company's latest Statutory Board Plan to Tynwald this week.
He told gathered members the industry pattern, driven by large retailers and logistics entities, is to offer non-exclusive contracts in a bid to drive down prices.
It's something Mr Peters said can 'inevitably lead to an unsustainable race to the bottom' which is not suited to small jurisdictions like the Isle of Man:
