MHKs say there's not enough time for public scrutiny before it's voted on

The way the Budget is conducted as a whole on the Island has been criticised by a number of Tynwald members.

Currently, plans for government spending are kept a tightly guarded secret until Budget day, and also have to be voted on in their entirety.

But concerns have consistently been raised about this.

Douglas East MHK Joney Faragher, Rushen member Juan Watterson and Garff MHK Daphne Caine all repeated these concerns in the court today:
