Funeral of Martyn Quayle held today

Colleagues gather to bid final farewell

The funeral of former Middle MHK and government minister Martyn Quayle takes place later today (7 Sept).

Mr Quayle passed away on 26 August at the Walton neurological centre in Liverpool, a fortnight after sustaining injuries in a fall. He was 57.

Many tributes have been paid to a man described as a true Manx ambassador. He served two terms as an MHK, and has been widely praised as a decent, courteous politician who always did his best to promote the Island.  

The service at Marown Parish Church at 2pm will be followed by burial in the churchyard.
