The funeral will take place this lunchtime of a popular Peel man.
Lawrence 'Lude' Gell, 52, died a fortnight ago in a tragic accident while working in the town for the Water Authority.
Mr Gell sustained fatal chest and abdomen injuries.
Debbie Halsall, secretary of the Whitley Council employees side, said he was a respected worker.
Mr Gell’s funeral will be held at St German’s Cathedral in Peel at 1pm.
