Adopt an ambulance scheme launched
St John Ambulance Isle of Man has launched a new fundraising initiative aimed at keeping its emergency vehicle fleet on the road.
The ‘Adopt an Ambulance’ scheme is designed to help cover the rising costs of maintaining vehicles used for event cover, patient transport and frontline first aid support.
The charity says reliable vehicles are essential to ensuring volunteers can reach people quickly and safely when help is needed.
Local businesses and private donors are being invited to support the scheme through a range of sponsorship options.
Knight Commander at St John Ambulance Isle of Man, John Gill, says: "Our vehicles are essential to help us support the community at events across the Island.
"By 'Adopting an Ambulance', our donors are directly ensuring that we have the tools we need to save lives when needed."
Head of Fundraising, Caitlin Bradley, adds: “We’re really excited to launch our Adopt an Ambulance scheme as it gives our donors a visible stake in the work we do, and it’s a wonderful opportunity for people to see their generosity translated into miles on the road and life-saving care provided directly to our community.
"While we appreciate every donation that comes through our doors, this new scheme helps us build a closer connection with our supporters.”
