
Later this month, Tynwald will be asked to approve funding for the next phase of the regeneration of Douglas promenade.
If given the go-ahead, the £1.36 million scheme will begin in September and is scheduled to take seven months.
It will involve significant changes to the section of the prom between the ends of Victoria Street and Regent Street.
These include a narrowing of the road, and creating a space running alongside the Marine Gardens wall for a proposed moving of the horse tram tracks at a later date.
