Public Service Broadcasting hearing opens
There has been much discussion about how Manx Radio is funded during the opening session of the Tynwald Select Committee on Public Service Broadcasting.
Former MLC Juan Turner, who was the founder of Energy FM, called for negotiations to begin for the BBC to replace Manx Radio in the role.
Dr Richard Arning of Isle of Media refered to Manx Radio as a "blurred operation".
And Ron Berry of 3FM stated radio advertising on the Isle of Man is not a level playing field.
Mr Berry also questioned how the subvention from Isle of Man Government is being used by Manx Radio:-
