Treasury announced plans to bring in surcharge this week
An MHK believes there's a 'fundamental flaw' in the system around healthcare fees which needs to be addressed.
Douglas North representative John Wannenburgh put a question on the matter to the treasury minister requesting an update on the idea of a health surcharge for new residents.
Alex Allinson did confirm this week Treasury does plan to bring in such an initiative before the end of the current administration.
