Same sex bill goes to Keys next week
Island politicians will have a free vote when it comes to same sex marriage.
The Chief Minister insists Ministers will not be bound by collective responsibility when the bill is introduced to the House of Keys for consideration.
It follows a public consultation on the issue which led to 176 responses, 90 of which supported the principle of allowing same sex couples to get married.
Allan Bell, who has brought the legislation forward, says he respects both sides of the debate.
The bill will receive its first reading a week today (Tuesday).
