To come a year after planning policy change
A ban on the installation of fossil fuel heating systems in new homes will take effect from the beginning of January 2025.
It's the latest step towards government's net zero aspiration.
A year before the ban comes in building control authorities will reject new applications for new buildings and extensions containing fossil fuel systems.
