Disagreement over book detailing history of Children's Centre
A former trustee and director of the Children's Centre has questioned evidence given by a former witness to a Tynwald committee looking into historical child sex abuse.
Addressing the committee this morning, Andrew Johnston said he wasn't speaking on behalf of the Centre.
However, he did want to question evidence given by Mrs Kerry Sharpe (who's now an MLC) at an earlier hearing and regarding a book she had been writing about the history the Children's Centre.
She stated that at a meeting Mr Johnstone informed her that the Chidren's Centre had never wanted a book writing a book about its history.
