
Former Social Care Minister Chris Robertshaw and the department’s chief executive Yvette Mellor have defended spending more than three-quarters of a million pounds on consultants.
The cash paid for a review of the Island’s National Insurance fund, which the department feared would run out in the next thirty or forty years.
Yesterday, Mr Robertshaw and Ms Mellor appeared before Tynwald’s public accounts committee to give evidence.
