Former racer and travelling marshal celebrates 40 years on the Mountain Course

A former TT and MGP rider and current travelling marshal is celebrating 40 years of riding around the Mountain Course. 

Jim Hunter made his debut on the iconic streets in 1986 and it was one to remember. 

The now vice-chairman of the Manx Motorcycle Club, won the MGP newcomers race with a speed of 100.35mph, a record back then. 

He was also a top 30 finisher in the 1991 Formula One TT.

Jim is also a trustee of the Mike Hailwood Foundation and he says he has no intention of stopping his involvement in the races anytime soon:
