Hooper says Christian's answers in Tynwald 'didn't stack up'
The planned doctors' strike, which was due to get underway this morning (22 Jan), has been indefinitely postponed.
The British Medical Association says 'at the eleventh hour' doctors successfully negotiated a pay offer with Manx Care.
Claire Christian told Tynwald this week the pay increase will be facilitated without the cutting of services or going over budget.
But former Health Minister Lawrie Hooper told his replacement her answers 'didn't stack up':
Whilst there are still questions over whether that offer will be accepted by BMA members - it is clear that the first ever doctors' strike on the Isle of Man will not be happening today.
