Former cabinet minister promises 'fun'

A former cabinet minister says Island audiences can expect fun when she speaks at the Palace Hotel in Douglas later this month.

Ann Widdecombe was considered one of the liveliest and most engaging personalities in Westminster before she retired from politics four years ago.

She’s since embarked on a range of media work, including appearances on the quiz Countdown and Strictly Comes Dancing.

Ahead of her visit as guest of the Isle of Man Sporting and Dining Club on January 30, she admits it’s been a roller-coaster period.
