51km challenge across Irish Sea starts today
A former army captain is attempting to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records as part of a two-day challenge that will see him travelling from the UK to the Isle of Man.
But he won't be flying or sailing ... instead he’ll be swimming 51km across the Irish Sea!
His mission is inspired by three things – the fact it hasn’t been done before, to undertake research of how clean the sea is, and to raise awareness of mental health.
Adam will be swimming in four, six-hour, sessions and will wear a special swimsuit to protect himself from Lionhead jellyfish.
Earlier this morning Adam Diver left Whitehaven but before ‘The Big Swim From England To The Isle of Man’ he spoke to Manx Radio:
Donations to Adam’s chosen charity Healthier Heroes can be made HERE.
