Support for families normally receiving free school meals to be considered
Families who normally rely on free school meals will receive vouchers for food over the Christmas holidays if Tynwald gives the go ahead.
Education Minister Julie Edge will ask the court to approve the Christmas Holiday Food Voucher Scheme at this month's sitting.
It would provide two vouchers to be spent at approved retailers while schools are closed, worth a total of £25.85 for primary school pupils and £32.45 for high school students.
If the Manx parliament votes in support of the scheme, the vouchers will be issued on 16 December.
