Aim to reopen before TT
Anyone wanting to camp at the popular Sulby Claddagh is having to wait longer than usual this year.
Exceptional rainfall over the winter months has seen extensive flooding of site, according to the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture, which owns and operates the site.
The flooding, and current height of the water table, means the toilet block is currently unusable.
DEFA says work which will hopefully help dry out the land around the toilets and enable inspection of the sewerage system and other infrastructure has begun.
It's currently hoped Sulby Claddagh will reopen for camping on Monday, 21 May.
