Fears river could overflow
The National Sports Centre is closed for the rest of today
It's been prompted by fears the riverbanks could burst as water levels continue to rise.
The NSC was badly damaged by severe flooding in December 2015, with parts of it shut for a number of months afterwards.
A brand-new flood defence system is currently being installed.
Head of Sport and Recreation Paul Bridson says the closure is precautionary:-
