Flood risk work on Glen Road to take nine months

Rolling road closures for improved drainage to begin in January

A nine-month rolling road closure for work to reduce the risk of flooding on Glen Road in Laxey will get underway in the New Year.

The road drainage in the area is being upgraded as part of the flood risk mitigation programme.

Dozens of properties were damaged in the area during floods in October 2019.

The closures will be in place on short sections from 6 January until 30 September.
