The Isle of Man Ship Registry is celebrating strong growth.
More than 16.5 million tons of shipping now sails under the Manx flag, putting the Island 14th in a world league table of shipping registers, ahead of Germany for the first time.
Latest figures from Clarkson's monitor of world shipping fleets show the register has recently expanded by 7.4 per cent.
That's well ahead of growth in the global fleet, currently 3.6 per cent.
The majority of ships on the Island's register are merchant vessels although it has also attracted more than 100 of the world's super yachts.
The Ship Registry is said to support almost 600 jobs in the Island.
