Almost 300 drivers stopped by police
Five vehicles were seized by police because they were not fit to be on the roads during the recent winter checks.
A further 14 stops resulted in charges for various offences.
The police ran the campaign from when the clocks went back at the end of last month.
173 drivers were given 7 days to repair a fault, which was almost 60% of those stopped by officers.
