A Channel 4 documentary that featured scallop fishing on the Island poorly portrayed the industry.
So claims the head of the Manx Fish Producers Organisation, Tom Bryan-Brown, who says marine conservation sites aren't the be all and end all for fisheries management.
The documentary, presented by Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, called 'Hugh's Fish Fight', visited the Island as part of an international campaign to promote sustainable fishing.
Mr Bryan-Brown suggests the documentary focused too much on marine conservation zones and that there are other successful ways to sustain scallop stocks.
