First election candidate declares for Ayre and Michael

Ayre and Michael's first candidate has declared their intention to stand in September's General Election.

Paul Weatherall is the chair of the Liberal Vannin party and says his priority will be openness and transparency about how government decisions will affect constituents.

In a statement, he says the Island has had 'five years of dither and indecision', citing housing and local authority reform as some of his key issues.

The election is taking place on Thursday 24 September.
