Sally Murray also first to get Oxford/AstraZeneca jab
The Island's first care home resident has received their Covid-19 vaccine.
It's as the rollout across care homes begins today (18 January).
Eighty-four-year-old Sally Murray was first in line, among 33 residents at Southlands in Port Erin to get the inoculation.
Six members of staff also received the vaccine.
Sally also becomes the first on the Island to get the Oxford/AstraZeneca jab, rather than the Pfizer/BioNtech vaccine.
The Department of Health and Social Care hopes to deliver the protection to more than 200 care home residents by the end of this week.
Government aims to have all over 50s vaccinated by May, with everyone else to receive one by September.
