Firewall issue blamed for lack of airport updates

No live arrival or departure information on website

The Isle of Man Airport website couldn't be updated during a major incident today due to 'access issues' with the firewall.

Ronaldsway was evacuated after a suspicious item was found in the baggage checking area.

However people were unable to access real-time updates on which flights had been delayed or cancelled using the live arrivals and departures function on the airport website.

Isle of Man Airport told Manx Radio: "This issue is being looked into to ensure that this is addressed for any future incidents or notices.

"Appropriate staff and the airlines were contacted directly and we’d like to thank the Isle of Man Constabulary for their clear and regular updates to the public."
