Crews were called out at 2.10am and remained in attendance for one hour and twenty minutes
Firefighters in Rushen were called out to a residential property following reports of smoke, the smell of burning and a carbon monoxide alarm sounding.
Crews found smoke passing between two properties stemming from a domestic coal fire which was subsequently extinguished.
Both properties were ventilated and gas monitoring equipment was used to check the air in each of the homes.
Paramedics checked over two people.
