Negotiators called to Onchan yesterday evening
Negotiators and firearms officers were asked to attend a 'concern for welfare' incident in Onchan yesterday, police have confirmed.
The Isle of Man Constabulary says whilst this was not a firearms incident, these officers have the best training and equipment to deal with the situation.
It adds, firearms officers will always carry all of their equipment regardless of the situation.
It follows reports of armed police seen in the village yesterday evening.
