Source of fire unknown
Fire crews tackled a gorse fire on Groudle headland late last night.
The blaze started just below the railway, which was not damaged in the incident.
Groudle Glen Railway says it's extremely grateful for the swift action of the Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service.
It adds - while the source of the blaze is unknown, it's a timely reminder of the dangers of lighting fires and barbecues in such areas.
Update: The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service says it took around five hours to extinguish the blaze.
