Section of railings removed by Loch Prom
Fire crews from Douglas were called out shortly after midnight (9/07) to help emergency services recover a person who had been injured following a fall on to the sea wall ledge on Loch Promenade.
The alarm was raised around 12.40am and an aerial ladder was used to provide a safe working area while crews removed a section of the railing to allow colleagues from the Isle of Man Ambulance service to gain better access and treat the casualty in situ.
Their condition today is unknown.
Crews remained at the scene for around 40 minutes.
