The Island's Fire and Rescue Service has shared details of a number of incidents it's been responding to in the last 48 hours.

On Monday (23 February), at 7:03pm, crews were called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision in Douglas.

One fire appliance, and an emergency rescue vehicle responded to the incident.

On arrival, all occupants had safely self-evacuated and there were no reports of serious injuries.

Firefighters remained in attendance for approximately 30 minutes to make the vehicles safe and ensure there was no further risk to the public.

Later in the evening at 8:14pm, a fire appliance and duty officer from Ramsey were mobilised to reports of a large outside fire in the Sulby area.

On arrival, crews located a small garden fire measuring approximately two metres square.

The landowner had extinguished the fire prior to the fire service’s arrival.

At 7:56 this morning (Tuesday 24 February), crews from Kirk Michael were dispatched to reports of a road traffic collision.

On arrival, the vehicle occupant had safely exited the vehicle.

Crews remained in attendance for approximately one hour to make the vehicle safe.

The road was closed for a period of time following the incident, and as a result the fire service has thanked members of the public for their patience and cooperation.
