Guilty plea to driving without due care and attention
An Onchan woman who injured another driver in a crash has been fined by the deputy high bailiff.
Twenty-six-year-old Lorna Amy Quarrie, of Ivydene Avenue, had previously pleaded guilty to causing serious bodily harm by driving without due care and attention, and four charges related to defective tyres on her car.
The crash happened on Birch Hill Crescent in Onchan on 13 January this year.
The court heard Quarrie had not adequately cleared her windscreen of frost that day.
She has been fined a total of £2,300, has been ordered to pay £500 costs, and has been banned from driving for 12 months.
She must pass the extended driving test before getting her licence back.
