38-year-old was found to be over two times the legal limit
An Andreas man who crashed his car whilst drunk has been fined £2,500.
Antonio Lorderico Nazar, of Larivane Meadows, was travelling along Andreas Road when his vehicle left the road on 22 March.
The 38-year-old was found to be over two times the legal limit.
At Douglas Courthouse Nazar's advocate told the court his client 'doesn't drink very often' and didn't realise how much he'd had whilst drinking at a friend's home.
Magistrates banned Nazar from the road for three years and ordered him to pay prosecution costs of £125.
He will remain disqualified until he’s taken and passed an extended driving test and completed an education course.
