30-year-old caught with Class C drugs after police search
A Douglas man has been fined £250 after being caught trying to steal a bottle of wine.
Roman Pszczolkowski, of Clarence Terrace, admitted the attempted theft during an appearance at Douglas Courthouse.
The 30-year-old was challenged by staff at Shoprite, on Michael Street in Peel, on 7 September.
Police were called – they searched him and found he was carrying Tramadol tablets which he didn’t have a prescription for; Pszczolkowski also admitted possession of a class c drug.
In interview Pszczolkowski said his actions were ‘stupid’ and he’d been drinking adding the painkillers were from a friend for a cracked tooth.
Ordering Pszczolkowski to pay prosecution costs of £125 Magistrates also banned him from purchasing alcohol for six months.
