Thirty-five-year-old hadn't had valid licence for eight years
A court's heard police stopped a BMW driver from Douglas, only to discover he hadn’t had a valid licence for eight years.
Thirty-five-year-old Richard Keith Mcauliffe of First Avenue pleaded guilty to having no driving licence via a coroner’s admission at a hearing before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas courthouse.
When officers stopped him on Glencrutchery Road on 5 January, they found his licence hadn’t been renewed since it expired in December 2012.
He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £50 towards prosecution costs.
