Financial Services Authority warns of cloned website posing fraud risk

Fake site using FSA branding could be used to steal personal data, regulator warns

The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority has issued a warning about a fraudulent website that is mimicking its official site.

The clone features the FSA’s logo and layout but is entirely bogus, with no legitimate connection to the FSA.

It also includes a false fax number and email address, which the public is urged not to use.

The authority says it has taken steps to have the site taken down and is warning that anyone who has accessed it could be at risk of fraud or identity theft.

The FSA is advising the public to remain vigilant and to only use contact details published on its official website.
