Final round of bus strike action gets underway

Drivers balloted as weekend walkout begins

Bus drivers on the Isle of Man have walked out in what marks the fifth and final round in the latest series of strikes.

The four-day industrial action by Unite the Union members follows a long-running dispute over pay and conditions.

It was confirmed earlier this week that drivers would be balloted over further strike action, as the infrastructure minister said negotiations continued.

A contingency bus timetable is in operation, as well as Manx Electric Railway services to Ramsey.

The Steam Railway is also running commuter services between Douglas and the south.
