Shoeboxes full of gifts heading to war-torn country
The organiser of an appeal which will see Christmas gifts sent to orphaned Ukrainian children has described the response as ‘absolutely overwhelming’.
Today is the last day to drop off shoeboxes to Manx Support for Ukraine - a group of volunteers that support that people in the war-torn country.
The boxes will be filled with toys and gifts – a generator, food and a vehicle also be sent.
Before the war the orphanage the group is helping had 30 children at the facility now it’s 183
